June 16–Meek Heart

June 16-Heart for the Lord–Day 16–MEEK HEART
“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.” 1 Peter 3:4 KJV

Today’s Thought:
Jesus said in Matthew 11:29 that He had a meek and lowly heart.
“Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

A Meek Heart is a heart that is patient and mild.
It is submissive to God. It does not seek its own will but only God’s will.

Let’s seek a Meek and Lowly Heart like Jesus had when He said:  “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”  Luke 22:42  NKJV

Prayer of the Heart to the Lord:
Dear Lord, today I ask that You create in me a Meek Heart.
I want a heart like Jesus had, one that is meek and lowly, one that seeks Your will, not mine.

I want a Meek Heart that is treasured by You, for Your word says a meek and quiet spirit, is very precious in Your sight.

So, dear Lord, today I seek the inward beauty of a Meek Heart, one that is submissive to Your will, gentle, patient and mild.

For “the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” Psalm 37:11 NKJV

Thank You Lord. Amen.
