June 4–Heart for the Lord–Day 4–CLEAN HEART
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 NKJV
Today’s Thought:
David prayed that prayer after he had sinned against God.
Why did he pray for a Clean Heart?
Because he knew that his sin had separated him from God and that God was the only One that could restore him back into a right relationship for Isaiah 59:2 says: …your sins have hidden His face from you.”
A Clean Heart allows God to see us because there is no sin blocking His view.
When we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, we are forgiven, made pure and given a Clean Heart that God can see and bless. He can then show us His way to live an abundant life, one that is pleasing to Him and joyful for us.
Prayer of the Heart to the Lord:
Dear Lord,
today I ask that You create in me a Clean Heart so You can see me.
I do not want any sin blocking Your view of me. I want to have a heart that is clean and ready for You to fill with Your love and blessings.
I am thankful that in Jesus I can receive a Clean Heart, for He came to wash my heart clean with His blood as it says in 1 John 1:7: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
I believe and receive that cleansing in my life today, Lord, so I will have a Clean Heart that will shine for You for all eternity! Thank You Lord! Amen
