June 5–Comforted Heart

June 5–Heart for the Lord–Day 5–COMFORTED HEART
that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, [even] Christ, in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden. Colossians 2:2,3 (ASV)

Today’s Thought:
A Comforted Heart is one that is relieved of distress because it knows who it belongs to and what it has. A Comforted Heart soothes itself and others with this full assurance of understanding. It knows that it knows, and it is secure in its belief.

Prayer of the Heart to the Lord:

Dear Lord,
today I ask that You create in me a Comforted Heart so I can know You love me, and so I can be secure that in You I have everything I will ever need. This knowledge will then help me to comfort others as well.

I want a Comforted Heart, one that is knit together in love with other believers, a heart that is full of Your riches of understanding, wisdom, and knowledge.

Dear God as I seek this heart I see that it is found only in Christ, for Your word says that  in Him are all the treasures of wisdom knowledge and understanding hidden.
For, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1Corinthians 1:24
Therefore, if I am in Christ, my heart is comforted and knit together in love, full of understanding, wisdom, power and knowledge.

Thank You Jesus for making it possible for me to have a Comforted Heart today!
