SPIRITUAL VITAMIN Y : YIELD
..”yield yourselves to the Lord;” 2 Chronicles 30:8 NKJV
Today’s Thought:
To yield means to submit or surrender.
In this case it would mean surrendering ourselves to the Lord and submitting to His will.
As Jesus said to the Father: “Yet not as I will, but as You will.” Matthew 26:39.
So we should do the same daily.
Today’s Action:
Today, as we go out into the world, let’s leave our independence behind.
Let’s yield, submit, humble, ourselves to the Lord.
Let’s seek to do His will and not ours.
Let’s be in dependence on Him.
- YIELD TO THE LORD
…yield yourselves to the LORD; and enter His sanctuary, which He has sanctified forever,
and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you.
2 Chronicles 30:8 - YIELD TO OTHERS
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure.
It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others.
It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no partiality and is always sincere.
James 3:17 - YIELD NOT TO TEMPTATION
And don’t let us yield to temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
