P-O-W-E-R–Day 16–Willing

Posted on January 16, 2024January 15, 2024 by SGLY Devotionals

Today’s Scripture:
“Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,” 1 Timothy 6:18

Today’s Thought:
In today’s scripture Paul is telling Timothy to teach some of the rich people about being rich in good works.
He was saying that all believers should be willing to share what they have with others, not just worldly goods,
but time and talent also. Believers should have willing hearts that are ready to do the good works that God has prepared.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

Today’s Prayer:
Dear God,
I believe I have a willing heart to do the good works You have prepared for me to do. I want to do good.
I want to give and share. So, please now, show me how to do that each day. Perhaps it might only be a smile
or hug that I can give, but that is something good that might help someone. Maybe I could spend some time
with a friend who is lonely or take someone who is in need out to lunch. Help me to look for opportunities daily
God, and then when I see them, give me the strength to do them.

Today’s Action: Willing

  • Be willing to give.
  • Share what you can with others.
  • Do good.

And remember our verse from yesterday, which is a warning from Jesus Himself:
“Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”  Matthew 26:41
