Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Philippians 4:4
Today’s Thought:
“Rejoice always,” Paul says again in 1Thessalonians 5:16
“But…that’s too hard!” we say sometimes. ” How can I rejoice when…? ” or “You don’t know what my situation is, I can’t rejoice!”
Well, Paul rejoiced in prison. He rejoiced when he was attacked and beaten, no matter what suffering he endured, he still rejoiced, and he tells us we should do the same always.
No matter what our earthly circumstances might be, we can rejoice in the Lord and be glad we are His children, for we have His Holy Spirit dwelling within us to give us the power to overcome and be victorious in all situations. So today, let’s choose to rejoice always!
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God,
I am going to choose to “Rejoice always ” because I want to be obedient to Your word.
I know some days it will be hard for me to do.
I know that sometimes the enemy or my own flesh will come against me and try to discourage me, but I also know that You will always be with me, helping me, strengthening me, comforting me, so for that I can rejoice!
- For Your word says You are in front of me and behind me (Isaiah 52:12)
- by my side (Psalm 16:8)
- and within me, (Colossians 1:29).
- In You, I am complete (Colossians.2:10)
and for all that I can rejoice daily, no matter what my earthly circumstances might be!
Thank You God! I do rejoice in You!
