Planting Spiritual Seeds—Day 13—Help

Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Philippians 2:4 ESV

Today’s Spiritual Seed is:  Help

Today we need to be planting spiritual seeds of help. These would be seeds that help others grow in their faith or seeds that help someone learn about Christ.

They are not seeds that help people physically, however, we should always try do that too if it is possible for us to do so.

Spiritual seeds of help are seeds that are planted in the heart and mind of someone.  These seeds cause people to think about spiritual things or help them grow in their faith.

To spiritually help someone, you can:

  • Offer emotional support, a hug, or a listening ear.
  • Introduce them to some spiritual resources such as books, websites or podcasts.
  • Listen to their concerns without judgment and offer to pray for them.
  • Encourage them to pray about their concerns and offer to pray with them.
  • Share your own experiences and beliefs that might be similar.
  • Remind them of their strength in Christ.
  • Give them some scriptures on peace and hope to read and ponder.

Look up some scriptures on hope and peace to carry in your pocket today t and then look for ways you can plant them as you go about your day today.
