Planting Spiritual Seeds—Day 14–Hope
…in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 1Peter 3:15 ESV
Today’s Seed is: Hope
What is the reason for the hope that is in you? You need to know the answer to that question, for that is the seed you are going to plant today.
The answer, of course, would be Jesus Christ, He is the reason for the hope that is in you. So today you need to share Christ with those you meet, offering them the hope that is in you through Christ.
- The hope that we believers have in Christ is a firm assurance regarding things in this life that are unclear or unknown. We can be sure that we have Christ, our advocate in heaven, praying for us and His Spirit leading us and guiding us to all truth, so we can make the right decisions when necessary and take the right paths when needed. Nothing is unclear or unknown to God, for He knows all things.
- In Christ our hope is sure that He will never leave us, and He will always protect us, provide for us, and help us. We have His living word, the Bible that tells us how we should live and uplifts and encourages us daily if we take time to read it.
- We have the hope that in Christ we can live a life of joy, knowing that we need not fear, worry or be anxious for anything, for He is our Good Shepherd, and we shall not lack anything if we are in His flock.
Everyone needs hope and in Christ we have abundant hope, so share some of that hope with the world around you today!
