Planting Spiritual Seeds—Day 19–Mercy
Be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) just as your [heavenly] Father is merciful. Luke 6:36 AMP
Today’s Seed is: Mercy
“Be merciful just as your heavenly Father is.”
That is our goal today as we go out planting seeds of Mercy.
Be alert to whom the Father brings across your path today. Look for ways you can be compassionate and show tender mercies to others.
Perhaps you will need to forgive someone, or show leniency in enforcing a rule at work. Maybe you will need to be tolerant of someone who is exhibiting bad behavior, or offering to be charitable when you just don’t want to.
Mercy is not getting what we deserve. So today, planting Mercy seeds will be a challenge, it will not be easy. But, keep in mind that our heavenly Father shows us mercy every day and we need to do the same to others we interact with.
