Planting Spiritual Seeds—Day 8—Faith
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 ESV
Today’s Spiritual Seed is Faith.
Sometimes it takes a strong faith to believe this verse, because when something negative or upsetting happens in our lives, we often find it hard to believe that it will work to bring good in our life. That is why we need faith to stand strong upon this verse and really believe what it says. So, a faith seed planted in our life at just that time would be very helpful, wouldn’t it? Because at that time we need to keep our focus on what God is saying and not on our circumstances.
Perhaps your seed today could be these scriptures written out on a piece of paper and stuck in your pocket ready to share with someone whose faith is being tested, or with someone who is feeling spiritually weak.
“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. “ 1 Thessalonians 5:24 NIV
“Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13 NLT
Or gather up some other faith verses you might think are helpful to share today and be on the lookout for people who might need you to plant one in their lives. The seed could be something you verbally speak to them about faith based on your experience, or it could be a favorite faith scripture you want to share with them.
As you share, you will find your own faith will be boosted as well.
May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope. Romans 15:13 AMP.
