SEPTEMBER 1—ASK-SEEK-KNOCK— Prayer for a Clean Heart

Posted on September 1, 2025August 29, 2025 by SGLY Devotionals

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. “  Psalm 51:10

Today let’s pray for a Clean Heart.  Living in this sinful world, each day we may need to examine ourselves and ask the Lord to cleanse us from any worldly dust we may have picked up.  We may need to seek the Lord and ask Him to show us what might have infiltrated our heart that is not of Him.  We may need to knock on Heaven’s throne room door to request the Lord’s help in this matter, for we want to always keep our heart clean and upright.

For, as it says in Proverbs 20:9,  “Who can say, “I have cleansed my heart; I am pure and free from sin”?
No one can say that unless they are in Christ and have repented of their sins and have been clothed with His righteousness. Therefore, each day we live and walk in this world we may need to ask the Lord as David did in Psalm 51:10 :  “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. “

A Prayer for a Clean Heart– Psalm 19:12-14
Dear Lord,
How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart?    Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep your servant from deliberate sins!    Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Have a blessed day, walking in His presence with a Clean Heart.
