First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1Timothy 2:1-4
Today let’s pray for the leaders of our country, whatever country you may reside in, pray for your leaders.
- Pray that they will be godly men and women who will seek the Lord’s wisdom before making decisions.
- Pray that they will be compassionate, loving and caring towards the people and country they rule over.
- Pray that they might come to know Jesus and follow Him in all their ways, for as 1Timothy 2:4 says God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
Dear Lord,
I pray today for my President and other leaders in authority in my country, state and local government. I pray for those in authority in the schools.
I pray that all may come to know the truth, be saved and follow Jesus, so that they may receive the Holy Spirit’s teachings and guidance in all they say and do daily. I pray that their decisions and rulings will be for the people they serve and not done for selfish gain. I pray for godly wisdom and common sense. I pray that under them we the people will be able to live a peaceful and quiet life that is godly and dignified in every way. I thank You God, that You desire that all mankind should be saved and I am blessed to be able to pray for that daily. In Jesus mighty name I pray.
