For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” Romans 9:17
Today let’s pray that God’s power will be shown in us. As believers we have His Holy Spirit within us and therefore, we have His power within us.
As Jesus says in Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
We need His power to witness and to proclaim His name wherever we go.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
We need His power to abound in hope so that we will be filled with joy and peace.
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38
We need His power to do good and to do the things Jesus did, like healings and deliverance, for He said: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12
Therefore, let’s pray for His power to flow through us today.
Dear God,
Today I pray for Your power to be shown in me so I may proclaim Your name to all I meet. I pray that I will be a powerful witness for You today. I pray that I will be filled with joy and peace as I believe and abound in hope, going out as You send me to heal the sick and deliver those You place in my path. I want to do the works Jesus did when He was on earth, but I need Your power to do that God, so I am praying today for You to fill me with Your power that I may do the good works You have prepared for me to do for You.
Thank You God. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
for the kingdom of God isn’t just talk, but also power. 1Corinthians 4:20
