Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you. 1Peter 5:7
Today we are focusing our prayers on anything that might be troubling us. The Lord does not want us to be troubled, worried and fretting about things, for it accomplishes nothing and just causes stress and strife.
Jesus said in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jesus came to give us peace and abundant life, and we can have that if we keep our focus on Him, but the world, flesh and devil always seem to crowd in and bring us worries and troubles. Therefore, we need to pray that we can let go of all those worries, cares, and troubles and give them to God, for He is the only One who can really do something about them anyhow.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17
Dear God,
I cry out to you as David did in Psalm 25:17 “My troubles have grown larger; free me from my problems.”. This matter in my life is troubling me to the point that I am losing focus on other things that are important, plus as a Christ Follower I know I should be obedient to Your word which says not to worry and fret, but to cast my cares upon You. So, today I am giving You all of my cares because I just cannot deal with them any longer and
I am doing that right now and I am asking for Your help. I know You care about me and do not want me worrying or fretting about this matter, so I am releasing everything about it into Your hands, for You are the only One that has the answer to all of this. You are the only One who can change things and work things out for good. I want the peace and joy that Jesus came to give me, so I release this troubling matter into Your capable hands Father God. Give me the strength to not take it back. Thank You for caring for me. I am so grateful I have You in my life. I am so thankful Jesus made the way for me to have a relationship with You, and it is in His name I pray. Amen.
Now, whatever that troubling matter is, give it to God and let it go. Thank Him for what He will do about it and then focus on walking in Christ’s peace.
