Showers of Blessings Day 15
Blessing: Heritage
For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name. Psalm 61:5
Message:
“Answered prayers are such a blessing! God is so good!” I exclaimed, as I was handed the keys to my small home.
I had been praying that God would lead me to just the right home, in the right place, with a price I could afford, and He did.
When I first saw the little house, I knew it was what I’d been looking for. It had everything I had hoped for and even somethings that were the desire of my heart that I hadn’t asked for, and as I stood in the small, fenced backyard I felt God speaking to me, “Take it, it’s yours,” He said, and I did! I was able to purchase it with no problems and live there happily for many years.
In today’s verse David was praying to God in faith, trusting that God heard him and would give him the heritage of those who fear His name.
Believers, in Christ, we not only inherit eternal life but many other blessings as well,and as those who fear the Lord we are recipients of even more blessings also!
The more I read God’s word the more I see it is filled with blessings for His people, blessings we may not even realize we have been given!
