Blessing: Blessed with Confidence and Refuge
In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, And His children will have a place of refuge. Proverbs 14:26 NKJV
Message:
It has been many years ago since the Lord guided me to my desired haven as Psalm 107:30 says: “They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.”
At that time, I had been praying and asking the Lord if I should purchase a certain home, and I felt I got my answer one evening when I went to Bible Study. The Pastor said he felt led to sing a hymn before beginning the study that night and the hymn was titled “The Haven of Rest”. The hymn’s lyrics were based on Psalm 107:30.
As I sang that hymn, I felt the Lord was telling me that the home I had been praying about was to be my Haven of Rest here on earth and so it was for many years.
I am so grateful that the Lord leads and guides us in many ways and speaks to us in many ways also. Those who fear the Lord have the assurance that He will protect them and care for them.
Fearing the Lord gives us strong confidence in Him, we have a firm sure hope and trust that He will always provide for us. We have a sense of security in knowing that He is with us at all times as we walk in His way and will. As His children we will always have a place of refuge.
For, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 KJV
