A Precious Promise: FEAR
For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13
Thoughts:
“FEAR NOT, for I am with you” God says in Isaiah 41:10
God says “Do not fear” many times in His word and He often tells us that we should not be afraid for He is always with us. Our job is to believe it!
So, the next time we feel fear rising up in us here are some scriptures we can use to remind ourselves that we should not fear anything For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
- The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
- Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me… Psalm 23:4
- “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Prayer:
Dear God,
Your word says You have not given me a spirit of fear, but You have given me Your Spirit of power who dwells with in me. I believe it!
So when fear begins to come upon me or I start feeling overwhelmed or all alone, I will remember Your promises, and I will choose to trust in You instead of allowing fear or negative thoughts to control me.
Thank You God, for always being with me 24/7 and for helping me in my times of need.
Each day I will remember that You are my light and my salvation and that I have nothing to fear for You are always with me. I am so thankful for You and Your word. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
