A Precious Promise: Peace
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3
Thoughts:
God promises to keep us in perfect peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding, if we will just focus our minds on Him and place our trust in Him.
Jesus said in John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1
So, today, we who are in Christ, can claim these promises of peace, by just letting go of all our worldly cares, setting our minds on God, and trusting that He will work all things out for our good.
Prayer:
Dear God,
I want to live in Your perfect peace, so I will keep my mind stayed on You.
No matter what the circumstances might be, no matter what is happening all around me, I will choose to focus on You and Your word to me, and in that way, I will be peaceful as I place all my hope and trust in You and in Your word. Thank You God for Your word and for Jesus, who is the Prince of Peace. In Hus name I pray. Amen
